Bintaro, MINA – GREENLENTIK collaborated with the Kitabisa environmental community to organize a Voluntrip event entitled “From Source to Solution: Sustainable Waste Management Strategies, Managing Waste Wisely from the Source, Winning at the Outlet.” Bintaro on Sunday (31/8)
The event, held in the Gardenia Loka area, provided a platform for people who wanted to become volunteers and gain firsthand experience in sustainable waste management, both organic and inorganic.
GREENLENTIK founder Rini Ismiati explained that this Voluntrip event was expected to produce inspiring volunteers who could spread environmental awareness to the wider community.
“We want volunteers to not only see, but also experience the waste management process from upstream to downstream, so that they can have a positive and sustainable impact,” she said.
The series of activities began with a visit to the Garboyan Bestari Waste Bank, which plays an important role in inorganic waste management. In addition, participants were also invited to interact with the Good Farm Women Farmers group, which focuses on organic waste management for sustainable agriculture.
GREENLENTIK itself introduced innovations in inorganic waste management through an upcycling approach, which not only reduces waste accumulation but also improves household economies through useful products.
Gardenia Loka was chosen as the location for the activity for a reason. Various active and inspiring communities have formed in this area to manage waste, making it an ideal learning space for volunteers.
Through this Voluntrip activity, the organizers hope to spark a broader social movement for environmental awareness and sustainable waste management.
